Position Summary:
The Property and Casualty Underwriting Supervisor will supervise and lead the Underwiring team. This position will lead and train underwriters and Underwriting Assistants to ensure integrity of underwriting activities and processes. You will also lead your team to work closely with Regional Sales Managers and Agents to target and identify opportunities to meet and or exceed annual sales and profit goals.

What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
•Support new and existing business in the PI market across the UK
• Analyse key indicators and data to identify opportunities to improve workflow and overall operations performance.
• Monitor underwriting decisions through regular audits and referrals and address issues as appropriate individually or through group training.
• Monthly reporting on Year-to-Date progress towards achieving or exceeding team goals.
• Participate in management calls and special projects to contribute ideas for improvement of the company's new business process.
• Select, manage, and direct outside vendors.
• All other duties as assigned.
Work Experience and Education:
• Experience in new business development specifically within the professional indemnity market.
Licenses & Certifications:
• State P&C and/or surplus line license is required.
• Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) a plus.
