Position Summary:
The Underwriting Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day efficiency and accuracy of underwriting operations, implementing best practices and quality assurance measures. The role conducts performance reviews, monitors industry trends, and manages budgetary considerations, contributing to the strategic improvement of underwriting operations. They lead training programs for continuous learning, oversee policy issuance, and collaborate with stakeholders to address inquiries and enhance customer satisfaction.

What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
- Continuous improvement of the underwriting operations
- Day-to-day running e.g. rostering, SLAs
- Quality assurance - support team/supplier meetings, E2E process accuracy Responsible for audit reviews and associated risk and compliance adherence Invoice management
- Investigate policy issues (either systemic or isolated)
- Team meeting facilitation and associated admin
- Business reporting for carriers and team
- Resource planning
- Lead, coach, develop direct report/s
- Manage backlog of system enhancements with current PAS
- Project involvement - project owner for new PAS currently, facilitate requirement gathering, key conduit with Ryan Specialty Project Manager on project progress/performance, responsible for effective user acceptance testing, readiness planning
Work Experience and Education:
- Demonstrable experience in the Insurance Industry or Underwriting with a minimum of 3 years of underwriting operations management experience
