What can you expect in this role?
- Understand needs of business partners and complete service requests while adhering to quality guidance.
- Collaborate with other BI professionals to manage timely delivery of products and other tasks assigned by leaders.
- Design, develop and publish data stories through visualizations designed for optimal user-experience.
- Engage in learning opportunities (on data sources, systems, coding techniques, insurance industry concepts etc.) sessions as a participant or presenter.
- Follow, promote and recommend BI best practices in collaboration with other BI professionals and leaders.
- Demonstrate clear & concise communication with BI professionals and business partners.
What do you bring to the role?
- Experience with SQL, and knowledge of Big Query are strong assets. Knowledge of additional data analysis languages could be assets.
- Knowledge of developing reports and dashboards. Strong preference towards Tableau, but candidates with experience in Power BI and/or Looker, will also be considered.
- Knowledge of data wrangling and data reconciliation.
- Ability to manage tasks.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, Cloud Storage and Cloud Composer-Airflow is nice-to-have.
- Knowledge of data cataloguing and governance tools, such as Collibra, preferred.
- Knowledge of Agile framework preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with workflow tools, such as Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket and GitHub is an asset.
- University or college degree in Math, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of P&C insurance industry is an asset.
Salary Range: $50,200 - $92,500
