The Senior Property Risk Engineer (HPR) is responsible for conducting Middle Market field surveys and providing service support. This role involves both on-site physical surveys and virtual/phone surveys, with a focus on assessing operations, exposures, and control adequacy for primarily property coverages.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site and virtual/phone assessments of prospects and clients.
- Perform detailed assessments of operations, exposures, and control adequacy for property coverages based on industry standards.
- Evaluate COPE including sprinkler system adequacy and calculate loss expectancies.
- Complete loss analysis
- Evaluation of Nat/Cat exposures.
- Summarize findings in internal reports with appropriate loss improvement recommendations.
- Provide support and recommendations to underwriters, policyholders, and brokers.
- Timely communication with internal and external partners
Required Skills:
- Competency with NFPA and FM data sheets.
- Competency with Microsoft suite tools and applications.
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Solid time management skills.
- Ability to evaluate sprinkler system adequacy and calculate loss expectancies.
Desired Skills:
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education/Experience:
- Engineering, Safety, Risk Management or comparable degree/experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of industry experience in a safety-related role; property and casualty insurance experience highly desired.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$99,052 - $134,012/year
Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
