POSITION SUMMARY
The Claims Intake Supervisor will oversee a team of Intake Representatives and complete day-to-day activities/tasks related to accurately identifying, triaging and setting up incoming First Notice of Loss’s across all Arch business lines.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Supervises a team of 8+ Claims Intake Representatives.
- Manages the workflow, productivity and quality of the CIRs.
- Readily develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and team/individual goals that are Specific, Impactful and Measurable, promoting strong team performance that meets business needs.
- Tracks and reports on KPIs, identifying trends and preparing plans to tackle issues affecting timeliness and accuracy of claim setup.
- Conducts annual performance reviews, supplemented by weekly coaching sessions with direct reports.
- Create and maintain job aids and deliver training as needed to new and established staff.
- Continuously seeks and implements ways to improve efficiency in managing the daily workload.
- Primary responsibility for addressing Intake related questions and escalations to include but not limited to, delayed policy availability within claims systems, policy/insured identification/routing, and rush requests.
- Assists in managing day-to-day activities completed by the CIRs, including by not limited to: accuracy and timely routing/setup of incoming FNOLs, preparation and routing of acknowledgement letters, merging and transfer of files, and oversight files.
- Provides administrative support to the Claims Department.
- Practices professional communication and confidently collaborates with other units/departments within Arch to ensure a World Class Customer experience.
- Engages and Participates in the Arch Experience values and continuous improvement initiatives
- Works closely with other Omaha Office Leadership to harbor a culture of collaboration, integrity, inclusivity and positivity.
- Other Administrative duties as assigned by Claims Intake & Operations AVP.
- This position will work 3 days from the Omaha office and work from home 2 days per week.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Graduate or equivalent, College experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience in the Insurance Industry (Commercial Lines Claims preferred) OR 3 years experience in highly regulated, customer-focused roles requiring strong skills in risk assessment, data accuracy and client communication
- MS Office, WORD, EXCEL
- Ability to navigate multiple systems
- Must be detail oriented
- Superior desk management, communication, organizational and customer service skills required; Leadership experience a plus
