Reporting to the Leader, National Casualty and Bodily Injury Claims, you have a track record of progressively challenging claims handling. You will be accountable for the investigation, negotiation and settlement of Intermediate Third Party Bodily Injury claims. You are motivated by a challenge and strive to continually develop yourself and others. You actively support change and seek to improve. You have effectively managed a portfolio of Automobile Bodily Injury, Accident Benefit Claims, or Automobile PD Claims of increasing complexity. What can you expect in this role?
- Reporting to the Team Leader, Casualty, you are accountable for managing a portfolio of Intermediate Bodily Injury Claims.
- Engage all stakeholders in the effective management of a claim including underwriting and senior leadership
- Confirming policy coverages, investigating claims to determine liability and quantum. Maintaining detailed file records.
- Attending/participating in mediations, pre-trials and settlement initiatives.
- Settle claims directly with Plaintiff’s Counsel.
- Direct and Instruct Defence Counsel.
- Professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions, whether with customer, co-workers or vendors
- Perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure
- Strive to continually push the boundaries of your adjusting experience and personal learnings

What do you bring to the role?
- University degree, a college diploma or the CIP designation
- Minimum 3 years of claims handling experience
- Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers

Salary range is $50,200 - $92,500
