BHSI has an exciting opportunity for a senior technology leader with a strong passion for evolving technology delivery methodologies, strengthening partnerships across our global company, and cultivating a focus on business outcomes to join our Boston based Technology team. In this newly created role reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, the Strategy & Planning leader must be an influential leader with vast experience driving organizational change that enhances how we work, prepares our technology workforce for the future, and fosters a continuous improvement mindset. The Senior Vice President of Strategy & Planning will be at the forefront of our company's evolution, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of our global technology organization. This position is a unique opportunity to drive significant advancement across the enterprise through collaboration with technology leaders and executive leaders in our regions and functions. The SVP will be responsible for executing a strategic technology vision that aligns with our business goals, ensuring we are forward-thinking in a rapidly evolving landscape. As a key member of the senior technology team, the SVP will lead the charge in evolving our operating model, optimizing our workforce, and enhancing our vendor partnerships. Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a global technology prioritization process that aligns with enterprise goals and balances regional and functional demands
- Establish and evolve contemporary governance models to ensure transparency, accountability, and value realization across the technology portfolio
- Partner with executive leadership to define and measure Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) that drive business-aligned outcomes.
- Stand up and oversee an Agile Transformation Office to transition the organization from Waterfall practices to modern Agile methodologies
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and collaboration across business and technology teams
- Design and implement training and coaching programs to upskill our teammates (e.g., Business Analyst to Product Owner, Project Manager to Scrum Master)
- Build and manage a consistent portfolio management framework, including a technology scorecard with key metrics (e.g., financials, availability, incidents, security vulnerabilities)
- Drive visibility and communication of technology wins and progress for key initiatives across the organization by enhancing our portfolio dashboard
- Assess and optimize the technology workforce model, including capacity planning, skill alignment, and productivity measurement
- Define future-state staffing ratios and develop a strategy to increase agility and reduce reliance on offshore contractors for high-value work
- Create and implement a vendor management framework that ensures accountability, quality, and alignment with strategic goals
- Standardize RFP processes and establish performance metrics to evaluate vendor effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology strategy, planning, or transformation roles
- Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide Agile transformations and modernizing software development practices
- Deep understanding of portfolio management, governance, and workforce optimization in a global context
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and implementing scalable sourcing strategies
- Exceptional change management, organization, and strategic thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change
- Expertise in developing and executing strategic plans that align with business objectives
- Passion for evolving how we work and driving cultural change through a global company
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
- Ability to challenge the status quo and inspire followership

The base salary range for this position in Boston is $315,000 to $325,000, along with annual bonus eligibility. Total compensation for a candidate is determined by their relevant skills, location, and experience.
