PURPOSE: The Trainer will be working with various individuals to document processes with the purpose of using this documentation to develop training curricula and create training aids.
As part of learning the processes, the selected candidate is expected to learn and document the use of any system or technology that is utilized to carry out department functions.
Responsibilities
- Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas in a specified field.
- Develops training curricula and/or recommends or utilizes vendor programs that meet instructional goals and objectives.
- Formulates training outlines and determines instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
- Selects or prepares training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, video tutorials, and reference works.
- Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of training and development programs and utilize relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods.
- Assists in analyzing and assessing training and development needs for individuals and/or departments.
- May lead, guide, and train employees in performing related work functions.
- May document department processes and functions.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Collaborates with Center Leadership to ensure cross-training opportunities are identified and effectively utilized for staff.
- Supports the audit process and works with Center and Field Quality Leadership teams to address training in response to audit findings, and corrective and preventative actions.

- Ability to design, develop, implement, and evaluate training plans, curricula, and methodology.
- Skilled in preparing instructional aids and plans.
- Time Management/Deadline driven.
- Intermediate Microsoft office skills, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to work both within a team environment and independently.
Knowledge, Experience, And Education
- College degree and 2 years teaching/training or equivalent in a training role.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills. High energy, enthusiastic training style.
- Knowledge and previous experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to function in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
- Very strong customer service orientation and commitment to quality, responsibility, high work standards, and professionalism.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Training certification preferred or open to achieve within 6 months from employment
- Life and Health license, preferred
