We have the opportunity for an
IT Release & Environments Lead to join our
IT department here at
Tokio Marine Kiln. You will report to Infrastructure Delivery Manager and will ensure the Production & Non-Production Environments (aka the Dev, Test, Integration and E2E Environments) are properly understood, managed (governed & coordinated) and “Fit for Purpose” i.e. fit for usage by the relevant SDLC teams (development, test, data, BaU and project teams).
The role includes responsibility for:
- Collaborate with development, testing, and delivery teams (service, infrastructure, project, partners etc.) to identify environment requirements for each stage of the delivery e.g. build, integrate, test etc
- Champion FinOps processes, both proactively and retrospectively, ensuring that infrastructure spend is kept to the appropriate level
- Continue the development of Environment Directory reporting on low level environment detail.
- Coordinate delivery of development, test and production environments (development, system test, UAT, Integration, Production etc.)
- Work with technical specialists to document relevant environmental standards of best practice
- Document environments and underlying components to appropriate standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (keep abreast of industry trends, implement best practice, evaluate new tools and techniques, automate processes, upgrade underlying technologies)
- Provides support to the domain teams as well as to service providers, vendors and customers, by coordinating and providing release management consultation in a timely and efficient manner
The successful candidate will have knowledge of Cloud Environment such as AWS and Azure. Experience of monitoring, analysing, and optimize cloud spending across Cloud platforms would be beneficial. We are looking for someone with knowledge of IT Release and Environmental best practice, or a desire to learn those, as well as someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
