Position Summary
This Account Executive serves as a strategic partner to internal teams by staying informed on market trends and providing actionable insights into client needs and behaviors. Through close collaboration, the individual helps shape client strategies and supports decision-making with relevant market intelligence.
Key responsibilities include assisting with new business and renewal submissions, reviewing policy documents and invoices, and supporting a range of client service activities. The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares accounts for new business and renewals as directed by the broker, initiating renewal reviews to optimize client coverage and recommending strategies for client retention.
- Assists brokers in developing market submissions and quote cover letters, while reviewing incoming documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Builds strong relationships with brokers and demonstrates a solid understanding of brokerage operations to proactively support evolving business needs.
- Partners with brokers to drive renewal activity and generate new business opportunities through client referrals.
- Collaborates on new business strategies, including the development of proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
- Evaluates account-related risks and ensures compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Maintains accurate client data in internal systems, produces clear documentation, and adheres to defined guidelines and service standards.
- Generates performance and portfolio trend reports using data and insights to support broker decision-making and enhance the book of business.
- Coordinates with internal teams to fulfill contractual obligations, resolves invoicing issues with Premium Accounting, and manages notices of cancellation.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of Property & Casualty experience in the insurance industry, supported by a Bachelor’s degree.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Business Administration, Sales, or Risk Management. Other related disciplines or equivalent work experience will be considered.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Prescribed: Minimum requirements for state Property & Casualty (P&C) and/or surplus lines licenses.
- Preferred: Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR), Commercial Insurance License (CIL).

The target salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
