AVP, International Payroll
Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned AVP International Payroll to lead and optimise payroll operations across our global footprint, with a focus on AsiaPac and Europe. This role will ensure compliance with local regulations, harmonize payroll processes, and support the transition of payroll ownership from Finance to People Experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Partner with regional HR, Finance, and external vendors to manage payroll transitions and integrations.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of global payroll systems, including Workday integrations.
- Develop and maintain global payroll policies and procedures that align with enterprise-wide standards.
- Support audits and internal controls by maintaining accurate documentation and process transparency.
- Provide strategic input into global compensation and total rewards initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships and service-level agreements for outsourced payroll services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPP, CIPP) preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in international payroll management, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Deep understanding of payroll regulations and practices across Asia, Europe, and the South Pacific.
- Experience with Workday or similar global HRIS/payroll platforms.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects in a matrixed environment.
