Responsible for assisting with the internal and external financial reporting for the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Prepare assigned bank reconciliations and research and resolve all reconciling items and variances.
2. Prepare reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and research and resolve all reconciling items and variances.
3. Assist with the preparation of property tax returns, use tax returns, and other miscellaneous corporate returns.
4. Assist with the review of Vendor Payable batches and expense reports.
5. Enter fixed asset purchases into the fixed asset system, review the purchases for proper coding and compliance with the capitalization policy, record monthly depreciation entries, and reconcile system details to the general ledger monthly
6. Prepare various external and internal reports on monthly and quarterly basis
7. Assist with month-end closing process.
8. Assist with other various financial projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, finance or related degree
2. Two years of Staff Accounting experience
3. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
4. Ability to review information, make decisions, and manage time effectively with minimal to no supervision
5. Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization and with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds
6. Strong customer service skills and the ability to take instruction well
7. Strong verbal and written communications skills
8. Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, details, and interruptions
9. Strong computer skills
10. Ability to adhere to all organizational policies and procedures
