ClaimsPro’s Specialty Risk Division (SRD) is Canada’s largest team of commercial loss professionals. Our Complex, Commercial & Industrial (CCI) unit is comprised of Senior General and Executive General Adjusters - highly experienced individuals who possess professional backgrounds in law, engineering, finance and insurance. Our CCI team is managed nationally with regional support in Western Canada, Central Canada, Quebec and Eastern Canada. CCI handles a diverse portfolio of commercial losses across Canada and internationally, coordinating teams of professionals to oversee all aspects of claims through efficient and timely resolution.
Our national CCI team is supported by Canada’s largest network of adjusters, coast to coast. Managing Complexity with Accessibility - CCI facilitates the claims process, acting as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders. This minimizes response times and streamlines reporting, allowing clients to develop a comfortable working relationship with CCI, promoting confidence among all parties and ensuring a swift and successful resolution to claims.
The successful candidate will have 10+ years’ experience with a proven track record of:
- Marketing directly to insurers, brokers and risk managers
- Superior ability to interpret complex coverage conditions and exclusions
- Superior report writing ability, and proven ability to analyze and present claim data to insurers in an organized and professional manner
- Ability to oversee and direct consultants, lawyers, forensic accountants and engineers, and other experts to ensure timely and effective claim resolution
- Additional professional claims related designation such as FCIP, CFEI, CLA, FCIAA, or postsecondary qualification or equivalent national or international designation
- Extensive specialist claim handling experience in two or more specific disciplines including: mining, energy, commercial/industrial losses, course of construction/wrap-up liability, boiler & machinery, professional indemnity, directors & officers, fidelity & surety bonds, crime, financial risks, inland/wet marine, cyber claims, environmental losses, jewelers/furriers block, entertainment, heavy equipment, medical malpractice, products recall, products liability
- Professional demeanor and ability to communicate clearly to all stakeholders in a formal group setting
- Licensed in jurisdictions inside and outside of home province
- Experience with mediation/alternate dispute resolution, provision of evidence at discovery/trial, provision of sworn statement on claim related matter
- Must be able to travel outside of Calgary as required
