Job Opportunity
BHSI has exciting entry level opportunities to join our Boston office as an Information Technology Intern. During your 12-week, paid internship, you will participate in and contribute to project and operational work under the guidance of experienced IT professionals. If you have a passion for programming, project management, or analytics and data, we will identify projects to leverage these skills. In addition to learning about IT processes and how they support the Insurance Life Cycle (pricing a quote through to a claim), you will also learn about the insurance industry, and experience first-hand, the teamwork that it takes to deliver flexible, responsive solutions to our customers.
Education, Skills And Experience
- College concentration in one of the STEM disciplines or prior experience and demonstrated passion in an Information Technology role
- A passion for learning with demonstrated technical talent, problem solving skills, and keen attention to detail
- Beginner’s knowledge of SQL and Python with familiarity of data warehousing and data pipelines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong focus, attention to detail and accuracy
- A basic understanding and interest in learning about the insurance industry
- All candidates must have permanent work authorization in the United States
The base salary range for this position in Boston is from $25/hour - $28/hour; a candidate’s salary is determined by their relevant skills and experience. We value our teammates – both their capabilities and character – as demonstrated by our amazing culture.
