Senior Personal Lines Compliance Analyst
To work with the Personal Lines (PL) business (Motor and Home) in developing a strong compliance culture in conjunction with the Senior Personal Lines Compliance Officer
To work with other departments when necessary to provide support.
To provide advice to the Personal Lines business units and liaise with them to implement and embed regulatory change
To manage the data rights processes for the Personal Lines business units, including subject access requests (SARs) from start to finish
To support oversight of all complaints in the Personal Lines business units. This would include root cause analysis and identifying trends and undertaking QA checks across the PL business.
Role overview
This is a key role within the DUAL UK Compliance team in helping to promote a strong conduct risk and consumer duty culture across all personal lines business units. This role supports the Personal Lines business by delivering the Annual Compliance Plan and deputises for Senior Personal Lines Compliance Officer as necessary.
Role responsibilities
Business Compliance Support
To support the Senior PL Compliance Officer in the delivery of the DUAL UK Compliance Plan and any other business projects affecting PL business units
To support in the implementation of regulatory change requirements across personal lines business units
To work with the Senior PL Compliance Officer and wider Compliance team in managing and enhancing appropriate systems and controls to ensure that the PL business units continue to meet all relevant regulatory obligations
To support carrier audits for the personal lines business units with any information requests
Complaints
To respond to any escalated complaints from the PL business units
Conduct complaints root cause analysis and quality assurance (QA) reviews over the 1LOD complaints handling team and produce MI for regular reporting
MI and reporting
Training
Data Protection
Logging and responding to all rights requests received across the PL business units under the UK Data Protection legislation including Data Subject Access Requests, rectification, erasure etc
Collation of monthly data protection risk indicator MI to report to DPO including data rights and data protection incidents and complaints
Establishing and maintaining Records of Processing Activity (RoPA)
Identify and escalate high risk processing which may require a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA)
Support the DUAL UK DPO in the embedding and improvement of data protection controls within the PL business units
Key requirements
Strong regulatory compliance experience within Motor and Home insurance is essential
Understanding of FCA regulatory frameworks
Experience of complaints handling
Strong understanding of UK data protection legislation and managing SARs
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement
Ability to work well both as part of a team and autonomously
Ability to demonstrate analytical thinking, and be comfortable with producing accurate data and insightful reporting.
