We are professional insurance brokers who act as intermediaries between clients and insurance companies, assisting our corporate clients in identifying the solution that best suits their needs in terms of risk management practices and financial controls, balancing premiums against a recommended level of cover.
The jobholder is supporting for day-to-day operations of the Risk and Compliance function of the company. The jobholder will work under guidance of the Compliance Manager to stay informed about regulatory requirements relevant to insurance and financial institutions and help maintain up-to-date internal policies. In addition, the jobholder will support providing adequate training to all employees to ensure strict observance of all compliance requirements.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the day-to-day Risk and Compliance operations.
- Assist in maintaining and revising policies and procedures for the general operation of the compliance program and its related activities in accordance with the laws, statutes, and regulations of the local jurisdiction which the business entity operates in.
- Review the Regulatory, AML and Data Protection requirements relevant to the laws and regulations of the local insurance and financial regulator, e.g., the IA and MPFA
- Ensure preparation of all required documents for the regulator’s inspection, internal and/or external audits.
- Provide compliance advisory support to the Compliance Manager and business units.
- Review and conduct screening using ComplyAdvantage.
- Maintain and promote compliance awareness among staff by providing them with updated information on compliance matters and assisting compliance training.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE:
- Degree holder in Business, Law, or other related disciplines.
- 1 year of working experience in legal/compliance/risk management is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong interest in compliance and risk management will also be considered.
- Knowledge on KYC/AML related practices, and statutory and regulatory requirements in insurance compliance is an advantage.
- Good communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese.
- A good team player with high integrity, meticulous, organised, and able to multi-task.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
