The Associate Risk Analyst/ Risk Analyst supports the enterprise risk management program by contributing to quarterly risk processes, analyzing risk events and near misses, and preparing clear, decision-ready materials for risk owners and leadership. This role is well-suited to a curious, solutions-oriented analyst who enjoys translating data and qualitative insights into practical risk responses that support both protection and growth.
You will gain exposure to a broad range of business activities across the organization and collaborate with stakeholders at multiple levels. The work requires strong analytical judgment, integrity in handling confidential information, and the ability to explain complex topics in plain language.

Job Responsibilities
Duties and accountabilities:
Quarterly risk cycle. Coordinate elements of the quarterly risk management process, including scheduling and facilitating risk owner meetings, capturing and challenging updates to risk registers, and tracking action items through completion.
Risk event analysis and deep dives. Perform structured analysis of risk events and near misses, including root cause analysis, linkage to register risks, impact/likelihood assessment, and presentation of practical remediation options. Prepare concise deep-dive summaries and follow-up plans.
Risk reporting and ORSA support. Contribute to risk reporting packs and support components of the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process, including data collection, drafting sections, quality checks, and maintaining an audit trail of sources and assumptions.
Framework and control improvements. Identify opportunities to streamline risk frameworks and processes using technology and automation. Propose pragmatic enhancements to RCSA, risk appetite metrics, key risk indicators, and issue/incident management.
Stakeholder engagement. Build effective working relationships with business stakeholders, synthesizing insights from interactions to anticipate emerging risks and propose proportionate responses. Facilitate adoption of agreed risk actions and monitor completion.
Data and analytics. Use quantitative and qualitative data to inform risk insights including use of advanced analytics including AI
Produce clean, reproducible analyses and visualizations to support decision-making. Maintain documentation of methods and calculations.
Governance and integrity. Handle confidential information with discretion; escalate issues in accordance with policy; support model, policy, and documentation governance requirements.
Perform other duties as required.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, economics, data analytics, mathematics, risk management, or related discipline) or 4 years of Analyst experience required
Work Experience/Skill Set
The successful candidate will have:

High integrity and sensitivity when handling confidential information.
Demonstrated experience analyzing datasets and drawing defensible conclusions; proficiency with Excel and at least one analytics or visualization tool (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI).
Foundational understanding of risk management principles and frameworks and the ability to apply them to business scenarios.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce succinct reports and present complex issues clearly to non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to manage tasks to completion, coordinate across stakeholders, and provide timely updates.
Preferred qualifications:
Exposure to enterprise risk management in financial services or insurance, including risk registers, risk controls. Key risk indicators, and issue management.
Familiarity with Own Risk and Solvency Assessment concepts, capital/risk models, or insurance business models and underwriting products.
Experience with Governance Risk and Compliance or risk tooling and collaboration platforms (e.g., AuditBoard, ServiceNow GRC, OneTrust, Confluence/Jira, SharePoint).
Professional progress toward a relevant certification (e.g., ARM, CRM, FRM, PRM, CPCU) is a plus. We will support your professional progress.
The Risk Analyst has a hybrid work model with in-office days to support collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and key risk meetings. Occasional additional in-office presence may be required during peak reporting cycles.
