Role Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join Allianz Engineering Inspection Services Ltd (AEIS).
As a Business Development Manager you will build and maintain long-term sustainable trading relationships with a defined panel of brokers. You will be the primary point of contact for these brokers and co-ordinate the Company’s proposition to market enabling profitable growth of the account in line with branch and team plans.
We’re looking for a self-motivated and talented individual to join our successful operation. This will be a hybrid position based out of our Leeds office.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £50,000 per year.
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
Your role will vary day to day, but here is a bit of what you can expect:
- Build excellent long-term relationships with insurance brokers while satisfying their needs and delivering profitable growth for the Company.
- Develop business from an agreed panel of intermediaries through sales and marketing initiatives, campaigns, new product launches and re-introducing existing products.
- Raise and maintain awareness of business development activities and opportunities by liaising with the different teams across the Company, embracing the One Company principles.
- Deliver on the responsibilities set out within the Distribution Framework and ensures defined sales disciplines are successfully demonstrated.
- Maintain market awareness and monitors market changes providing appropriate feedback across relevant stakeholder groups.
- Manage and appoints intermediaries across our broker segments, complying with the relevant procedures, authorities and regulation.
Essential Skills
- A track record of successfully managing broker and/or client relationships.
- Experience of managing communication across all stakeholder groups and a wide audience of internal and external audiences.
- Relationship management, networking, communication and negotiation skills
- Understanding of the customer and broker propositions offered by the Company.
- A developing awareness of the UK commercial insurance market and business regulatory requirements.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience of developing business in a commercial environment would be preferred. Awareness of Engineering and Inspection business is desirable but not necessary
