The role
To ensure the efficient and effective servicing of Captive Accounts on behalf of the HDI Group Global Network, UK and Ireland Branch. This includes acting within agreed operational and underwriting authorities and data quality standards, both internal and external. Liaising with servicing offices of the HDI Global Network to understand how features of their markets limit or extend the scope of the implementation of the programmes, to learn and disseminate regulatory issues, and facilitate communication and service delivery.
Supporting the Captive Manager and Captive Team Leader to deliver on the service proposition provided to Captive clients throughout the value chain.
Key accountabilities
Responsible for supporting the implementation of Captive Multinational Programmes, liaising with all servicing offices of the Global Network and / or the regional hubs to:
- Validate that instructions are complete and clear, all required actions from servicing office are completed in a timely manner and address discrepancies in the information provided by local parties.
- Make records of market intelligence in respect of local regulation, local practice and corporate directives that may impact / conflict with the procedures of the Global Network business model.
- •To evaluate complex operational risks and make necessary referrals in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure that all Captive programmes adhere to set KPIs and SLAs.
- Undertake policy and premium tracking to ensure timely collection of premiums and policy issuance
- Aiding in completion of required documentation for submission of assessment to Home Office via the Captive Manager.
- Work with the credit controller to ensure correct and swift money movement to the Captive as required and answer any credit control queries that may arise.
- Assist Underwriters with Premium Allocation calculations and any other tasks as necessary within the given parameters.
- Premium bookings into the PAS.
- Assist with referrals and escalations with the Clinical Trial certificate mailboxes.
Supporting the Captive Manager to deliver on the service proposition provided to Captive clients throughout the value chain.
Identifying improvement opportunities and building solutions to address these.
Ensure that all Policies are processed in accordance to a service standard that provides effective client servicing.
Responsible for data quality and integrity of underwriting and operations data:
- Ensure that all data is recorded promptly and accurately within the requisite systems; including, but not exclusively Geras, Pool Re, Global Network Portal, One Flow, IP Web, Elto, ARGOS, E-Accounting
- Ensure any errors or omissions are promptly raised and corrective actions are taken, liaising with Underwriting teams, Producing offices, credit control, Captive Manager and other teams as appropriate.
- Ensure maintenance of accurate electronic records for auditing and regulatory purposes.
Continuously build strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders:
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to enhance communication, collaboration, knowledge sharing and develop mutually beneficial solutions to the servicing of business
- Actively participate in Client Meetings where necessary Be an active advocate for change and improvement in operations to help support future operational needs.
To proactively participate in projects or other initiatives designed to improve the effectiveness or efficiency of the department and UK, IRE Branch and challenge the status quo. To be an ambassador for change within the team and organization.
Support and develop more junior members of the team to aid with succession planning and cross skilling.
To undertake any other tasks as requested by the Head of Client Services and Captive Team Leader.
Skills & experience
- Minimum of 2 years International Programmes / Multinational Insurance experience.
- Captives experience is desired but not essential.
- Candidates from an insurer or broking background will be considered.
- Ability to work with many teams
- Well organised and structured in their approach
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with accuracy and high attention to detail
- Proficient knowledge of Excel, MS Word, and accounting applications
- Understanding of insurance cover and the terminologies used, across all lines of business
- Good systems knowledge to capture and monitor data
- Ability to organise own workload effectively to meet service standards
- Drive innovation and support the company with implementing change and development
