The role:
HDI Global is dynamic and forward-thinking insurer, operating in the heart of the London. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, we aim to deliver fundamental and strategic change. As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a talented, solutions driven Business Analyst to join our team specialising in requirement gathering, process improvement, process mapping and change management.
To act as the ‘communication interface’ between the Business representatives and IT, to derive and translate the business requirements into technical requirements in order to help implement the solution and facilitate global and local level change in the organisation.
Key accountabilities:
- Eliciting and delivering high quality business requirements from key stakeholders on a full end to end basis including documentation in appropriate tools
- Working with designers/architects and stakeholders to define value adding solutions
- Analyse and understand key business processes along the full value chain to enable production of “as-is” and “to be” process documentation
- Development of clear and detailed process maps, including systems and controls
- Conduct gap analysis and Identify inconsistencies across the mapped business processes and highlight opportunities for improvement
- Close collaboration with IT while transforming business requirements into technical solutions, and review of developed solutions
- Testing of functionality and processes including preparation of test scripts/scenarios and conducting testing where appropriate
- Facilitating and conducting business change impact analysis including user training, process modelling, preparation of associated documentation
- Business warranty support as part of go live including defect resolution & management, embedding changes into BAU, conducted lessons learned sessions to further optimize the whole process and to learn from mistakes
- Facilitating workshops with SME's
- Development of data flow maps and data directories
- Co-ordinate and lead project teams including development resources where necessary. This will include production of project plans, status updates and any other associated reporting relevant to the Business Change function
- Awareness and interest in understanding trends in the industry including what changing in the organization and how it can affect the business system and process landscape
Skills & experience:
- Significant experience working as a Business Analyst
- Strong skills in Process Analysis, Mapping and Business Process Re-engineering
- Operating Model analysis, design and documentation
- Requirements elicitation and documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyse business processes and workflows
- Experience facilitating workshops and focus groups
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with people at all levels of an organisation
- High level of competence with MS Office and MS Visio (or other process modelling tools)
- 3-5 years Insurance Industry experience in the P&C sector
- At least 2 projects where role has been performed and required specific focus to process improvement / Operating Model design
- Good project management skills including plan production, monitoring and status reporting
Desirable:
- A good understanding of Agile and/or SAFe methodology
- Good understanding of Solvency II, Data Governance & Controls
- Completed the BCS Diploma in Business Analysis
- Experience in Robotic Process Automation & other Intelligent Automation concepts
- Experience in data improvement
