Position Summary
RT Connector, a division of Ryan Specialty, is seeking a Product Manager to join our team in Chicago, IL. We are a dynamic, fast-growing organization that offers an exciting opportunity for professionals looking to advance their careers in a high-energy, collaborative environment.
The Product Manager will lead the strategy, development, and execution of RT Connector’s admitted standard lines marketplace, delivering innovative solutions tailored to the needs of retail agents. This cross-functional role involves close collaboration with vendors, technology teams, internal stakeholders, carrier partners, and agents to build a fully bindable quoting experience that meets market demands and supports scalable growth. Key responsibilities include driving product strategy and market selection, designing workflows, providing regular updates to senior leadership, cultivating carrier relationships, and developing training materials for new insurance products.
What will your job entail?
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Execution
- Define and implement the product strategy for admitted GL, BOP, Workers’ Compensation offerings.
- Identify and prioritize niche markets for product expansion within the admitted space.
- Serve as the internal champion for admitted standard lines within the RT Connector ecosystem.
Workflow & Experience Design
- Lead the development of a fully bindable quoting and submission workflow.
- Partner with engineering and UX teams to deliver intuitive, efficient quoting experiences.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and carrier-specific requirements.
Carrier & Market Collaboration
- Collaborate with carrier partners to onboard admitted products and align with underwriting guidelines.
- Analyze market trends, agent feedback, and competitive offerings to inform product decisions.
- Manage trading relationships with admitted carriers and act as primary point of contact
Product Development Leadership
- Oversee end-to-end product development initiatives, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative culture across cross-functional teams including product owners, UX designers, analysts, and specialists.
- Drive innovation to differentiate offerings and introduce unique features that add value.
Other
- Engage clients and brokers to understand their needs and challenges.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with insurers, brokers, and third-party specialists.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps, and success metrics.
- Establish KPIs and provide regular performance reports to senior management.
- Develop training materials for internal teams, agents, and customers to support product adoption and understanding.
Work Experience and Education
- Experience in the Admitted P&C digital distribution space, working at a retail broker, carrier or technology platform.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred; Product Management, Business Administration. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
- 8+ years of experience in Insurance Product Management
- Licenses and Certifications: Certified Professional in Product Management (CPM), or Certified New Product Development Professional (NPDP) is a plus.

The target salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
