The role
This role will focus on enhancing and delivering our customer-centric propositions to ensure they provide good outcomes to customers and Trustees. It will place a key focus on the product features available to customers under our bulk purchase annuities, ensuring they continually develop to improve customer choice and remain competitive in the market. This role requires excellent knowledge of the market and the direction this is taking and use these insights to help drive the customer and Trustee proposition, ensuring we remain competitive in the market. The role will require technical expertise to digest and interpret complexities, whilst guiding technical analysts and sharing knowledge with Client Services teams in a digestible way.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all product and service changes are embedded safely and robustly in line with Phoenix governance, while using customer feedback, research, and complaints data to validate propositions and identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Lead the development, design, and delivery of compliant customer proposition enhancements, owning both the proposition development process and roadmap within Client Services.
- Conduct product reviews across annuity portfolios, including bulk purchase annuities, and present findings through appropriate governance forums, ensuring all processes are technically accurate, compliant, and focused on delivering good customer outcomes.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical and regulatory queries, supporting the technical team in resolving issues and ensuring scheme-specific technical matters are thoroughly assessed and addressed during onboarding to mitigate risk.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the annuity market, including bulk purchase annuities, and share marketing and industry insights to help identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
- Review all customer documentation and product features to ensure clarity, compliance, and accessibility, while championing technical knowledge across the team by simplifying complex issues and promoting understanding.
- Build strong working relationships with our OSPs to provide oversight of proposition development and enhancements, produce MI, and represent the team at relevant governance forums.
- Demonstrate leadership by empowering your team, promoting collaboration, and fostering a strong, supportive working environment.
