Position Summary
The Brokerage Operations Coordinator is responsible for a self-directed professional owning and executing high-volume operational workflows that support the brokerage team. This role manages inbound operational communications, processes insurance transactions, and ensures the timely and accurate completion of submissions, endorsements, binding documentation, and follow-ups.
The position is designed to reduce operational friction for brokers, allowing them to focus on client relationships and revenue-generating activities. Success in this role is measured by speed, accuracy, organization, and consistent follow-through.
What will your job entail?
Core Responsibilities
Inbound Operations & Communication Management
- Own and manage a high-volume operational inbox independently, responding to routine requests and tracking all items through completion
- Communicate professionally with brokers, carriers, and internal partners via email and other approved channels
- Escalate issues requiring broker judgment or review with clear context and supporting information
Brokerage Processing & Execution
- Prepare and process insurance quotes, submissions, binders, endorsements, and related documentation
- Coordinate with brokers to prepare cover letters and required materials for marketing new and renewal business
- Submit information through carrier and internal systems accurately and on time
- Proactively follow up on outstanding items until resolution to ensure timely transaction completion without constant oversight
Bind Request & Subjectivity Management
- Review bind requests to confirm all carrier subjectivities and underwriting requirements are satisfied prior to submission
- Gather, verify, and organize required documentation and confirmations needed to proceed to binding
- Coordinate with brokers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve outstanding subjectivities and complete binding requests efficiently
What This Role Is Not
- Not a sales or producer role
- Not responsible for pricing decisions, coverage negotiations, or client relationship ownership
- Not a general administrative assistant role

Experience required:
- At least 6 months - year+ of operations experience within an Insurance setting
- Knowledge of processing tasks such as quotes, binders, subjectivities, etc is preferred

The target hourly rate range for this position is $23.00 - $28.85 per hour.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
