The Role
We are seeking a strategic Internal Communications Executive to join our Group internal communications function. This role will play a key part in shaping how we communicate with c.22,000 colleagues across 56 countries, ensuring our platforms, processes, and engagement strategies are effective, consistent, and aligned with our business goals.
This is not just about delivering communications, it’s about building the frameworks, playbooks, and governance that enable impactful communication at scale.
What You'll Be Doing
Platform & Governance Management
Own and optimise channels for internal communications (e.g., Viva Engage, intranet) to ensure they are used effectively and consistently across the organisation.
Develop and maintain playbooks, procedures, and rules of engagement for internal communications, ensuring transparency on how, when, and why messages are shared.
Act as a subject matter expert for communication technology, advising on best practices and new capabilities.
Strategic Planning & Enablement
Support the Senior Manager in creating strategic communication frameworks that guide teams on tone, timing, and channel selection.
Work with stakeholders to ensure communications align with organisational priorities and values.
Community Support & Engagement
Oversee and support key Viva Engage communities, ensuring they remain active and relevant.
Share best practices and provide guidance to colleagues on effective community management.
Measurement & Insights
Monitor and analyse engagement metrics across platforms, producing actionable insights to improve communication strategies.
Report on performance and recommend enhancements to maximise reach and impact.
Who We're Looking For
Strategic mindset: Ability to think beyond execution and contribute to frameworks, governance, and long-term planning.
Platform expertise: Strong experience managing internal communication platforms (Viva Engage, intranet, etc.).
Outstanding writing skills: Ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content when required.
Project management: Skilled at managing multiple initiatives and deadlines.
Analytical ability: Comfortable using data and metrics to inform decisions.
Creative thinking: Innovative approach to improving engagement and communication effectiveness.
Experience working in a global, matrixed organisation and navigating diverse audiences.
