The opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Governance Lead to strengthen governance, oversight, and control across our global London Market Claims function.
This is a key role within London Market Operations, supporting a diverse claims portfolio spanning company market and Lloyd’s of London business.
As part of the Governance & Delegated Authority team, you will work closely with senior leaders, claims teams across multiple regions, and key stakeholders including the Office of the CUO and Compliance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a regulated environment, enjoys shaping frameworks, and brings a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure compliance with claims and delegated claims standards, leading the annual review and attestation process.
- Lead Lloyd’s claims relationship management, including oversight of the Claims Management Principle under the Lloyd’s Principles for Doing Business.
- Lead the year‑end claims financial audit and support internal audits of claims processes and controls.
- Maintain and enhance processes to ensure compliance with LIC claims handling guidelines.
- Strengthen the claims control framework, including peer review, Medicare reporting, and other key controls.
- Lead core governance activities with Claims Leadership, including the annual claims manual review and authority matrix updates.
- Monitor regulatory developments and act as the governance representative for the London Market Claims team.
Our must-haves:
- Have extensive governance experience, preferably with claims knowledge and/or technical experience.
- Have a good working knowledge of the Lloyd’s and London market frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities with a pro-active approach to process reviews and oversight of risk control frameworks.
- An understanding of the consumer duty framework as well as experience handling regulator expectations.
- Have people management skills and demonstrate the ability to develop and provide clear instructions and training.
