Job Description
Canopius is seeking a highly motivated Senior Developer to support the technology roadmap, delivering world class solutions to enable all areas of the business to achieve their strategic and business goals.
This exciting role is working within a small growing team of developers working in a flexible and iterative software delivery function – allowing us to respond quickly and innovatively to internal user requirements and therefore providing external market advantage.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Delivers design, coding, and testing, processes related to new software development.
- Participates across all stages of the software development lifecycle, including initial analysis, design, implementation, build, integration, testing, deployment, debugging and support.
- Collaborates with agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.
- Drives ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms
- Develops, maintains, enhances, and tests application frameworks of moderate to high complexity.
- Follows software engineering project schedules, maintains project parameters and tasks and monitors project tasks.
- Interprets and analyses requirements for integration and/or testability issues.
Skills And Experience
- Strong expertise in modern front-end development, with hands-on experience using React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS to build responsive, accessible, and performant web applications.
- Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with experience in component-based architecture, server-side rendering, and static site generation.
- Experience integrating with Python-based backend services, including RESTful APIs and asynchronous data flows.
- Familiarity with API consumption patterns, including RESTful services, authentication strategies, and error handling.
- Background in .NET and .NET Core using C#, particularly in building and integrating backend services and APIs.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles, including SOLID and common design patterns.
- Experience with database design and development, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL.
- Commitment to clean code, coding standards, and industry best practices, with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and performance.
