IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for a Senior HR Generalist working from our Rolling Meadows, Illinois location. This role can also be located in (Naperville, Illinois), North Carolina, or Wisconsin. The ideal candidate is employee‑focused, solutions‑oriented, and comfortable balancing how day‑to‑day HR work supports broader business objectives.
This role works a hybrid schedule from an IAT Office. The hybrid schedule requires working from the office Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.
Responsibilities:
Employee & Manager Support
Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, programs, and practices while ensuring a positive, respectful, and inclusive employee experience
Address employee relations matters with professionalism, consistency, and sound judgment; escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining confidentiality and trust.
Travels to company locations approximately 10% of the time to support employee engagement initiatives, business unit meetings, and other internal events.
HR Program Execution & Partnership
Partner with HR team to support talent initiatives such as performance management, engagement efforts, development planning, and workforce actions aligned to business needs.
Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to implement programs and initiatives effectively at the employee and manager level.
Execute HR processes efficiently while identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve the employee and manager experience.
Leverage HR systems and tools (e.g., Workday) accurately and consistently; ensure data integrity and timely processing of HR transactions.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR documentation and standard work to promote clarity and consistency across the organization.
Utilize HR data and reporting to identify trends, flag potential risks, and support informed decision‑making.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with five years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Equivalent is defined as nine year of relevant experience.
Experience conducting employee investigations, PIPs, warnings, and other corrective measures.
Solid foundation across core HR disciplines (employee relations, performance management, policies, HR operations).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes.
Preferred to Have:
HR certification (SHRM‑CP, PHR, or similar).
Experience working within a modern HR model (HRBP / COE / Operations).
Exposure to HR technology platforms and process improvement initiatives.
Growing business acumen with interest in understanding how HR supports organizational strategy.
Compensation:
Please note, the annual gross salary range associated with this posting is $63,270 to $137,880. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographical location related to this specific role. The total compensation will include a base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, 401(K) match, profit-sharing opportunities, and more.
