This role is for a Claims Adjuster who will be handling claims arising out of our Professional and Financial Risks book of business, with a particular focus on Financial Institutions, Fintech and Management Liability claims.

Business Unit overview:
The Financial Institutions and Management Liability/D&O (FIDO) claims team handles claims for two underwriting teams within London Market Claims. This includes a broad range of UK and international claims of varying complexity and a significant number of primary layer risks; particularly within our market leading Fintech portfolio.
The current team consists of three Claims Adjusters, two Senior Claims Adjusters and the Claims Manager to whom the individual who is placed in this role will report into.

What you’ll be doing:
Handle claims across the Financial Institutions and Management Liability classes, in line with the MINT claim’s philosophy, reserving philosophy, Markel Style and Claims Handling Manual.
Drive, facilitate and deliver a customer-focused approach to claims which is measurable through the speed of service and open, honest and personable communications with all brokers and (re)insureds.
Contribute through own work to achieve the KPI’s set in the annual Claims Business Plan and identify areas of improvement in the Team and provide proactive feedback to the Claims Managers
Work with Managing Agents and service providers in multiple jurisdictions.
Be collaborative in your approach by sharing any improvements with the other team members or claims teams.
Provide feedback on claims experiences, contract wordings (including policy wording), claims data or feedback for any renewal to the Claims Managers and underwriters.
Build and maintain relationships with key brokers and raise feedback received on our service to provide a more customer-focused, nimble and value-adding claims service
Provide commentary on relevant movements, highlighting significant notifications, claim trends or developments.
Key Skills:
Should have previous experience handing claims in Professional or Financial Lines, with an understanding of the London Market preferable.
Demonstrate strong written and spoken communication skills.
Demonstrate strong team work.
Possess strong independent organisational skills.
Have good IT (Microsoft Office) skills, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
