Sompo International is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a BI Developer / Analyst to join our growing UK IT team. This role will play a critical part in supporting the maintenance, enhancement, and development of IT systems and reporting solutions, including AeGIS and core BI platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical and reporting solutions, delivering high-quality data insights, ensuring system reliability, and driving continuous improvement across IT and business operations.

What you’ll be doing:
1. System Maintenance, Development & Reporting
Manage and support the AeGIS Maintenance Services contract and related IT systems.
Ensure efficient operation and uptime of critical IT systems, resolving issues promptly.
Assist in developing enhancements and implementing technical solutions.
Understand and document reporting requirements and translate into technical design specifications (SSIS / reporting tools).
Plan, design, develop and test reports using MS Reporting Services, and support reporting applications (MS Access / Excel / Power BI / MicroStrategy / SSRS).
Support, maintain and enhance existing reports and BI solutions.
2. Technical Expertise & Delivery
Collaborate with internal teams to analyse requirements and develop technical solutions.
Provide technical guidance on system integrations, reporting and data solutions.
Undertake end-to-end development, testing, deployment and migration across environments (using change control).
Perform data integrity, audit checks, QA and testing activities to ensure accuracy and reliability.
3. Stakeholder and Operational Management
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, translating business needs into technical and reporting solutions.
Manage implementation, integration and reporting projects aligned to business strategy.
Assist project managers to create project plans and provide regular progress updates.
4. Support, Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
Provide advanced technical and reporting support across systems and BI platforms.
Troubleshoot system, data and reporting issues, implementing fixes efficiently.
Identify opportunities for BI, reporting and process improvements across the business.
Participate in incident and problem management processes.
5. Documentation, Governance & Best Practice
Develop and maintain system and reporting documentation.
Ensure solutions follow change control, governance and audit requirements.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, standards and regulations.
What you’ll bring:
1. Technical Expertise
Strong experience with IT systems and platforms (including AeGIS).
Solid experience in BI/reporting tools including SSRS, SQL (T-SQL) and data analysis.
Exposure to tools such as PowerBI , MicroStrategy.

Ability to analyse complex technical and data issues and deliver effective solutions.
