Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Junior Claims Adjuster to join our claims adjusting team in Vancouver, British Columbia. This is a full-time role and hybrid work arrangement. The successful candidate will evaluate all lines of general claims while working closely with an assigned licensed adjuster; interprets coverage and negotiates settlements in accordance with provincial licensing restrictions and requirements, while demonstrating compliance with learned procedures.
This position is between $50,000 - $70,000 annually (salary is open for negotiation and based on skills and experience).
Responsibilities
- Investigation, collection, and analysis of claims information
- Accurate recording, reporting and file maintenance
- Examine policies and claims settlement within Provincial licensing regulations
- Work with manager to maintain client relations.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in an insurance related field, working towards independent adjusting license and CIP designation
- Minimum 1 year of functional and technical experience in an insurance environment
- Knowledge of property and liability will be considered an asset
- Proficient in maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction and reserve records
- Computer and reporting skills including Office 365, proficiency in using Excel.
