We currently an exciting opportunity for a Billing Specialist. If you’re looking to continue growing your career in a dynamic, fun, and professional environment, this role is for you. This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious professional with experience in an office environment. The successful candidate will be able to build positive working relationships, have a strong attention to detail, and manage a high-volume workload.
Responsibilities
- Generate draft invoices (prebills/proformas) for professional review.
- Apply edits and revisions requested by professionals, in accordance with client billing guidelines and contractual requirements.
- Finalize and send invoices to clients via email or internal teams as required.
- Provide supporting documentation for disbursements, as required.
- Assist billing teammates during peak periods and coordinate with Accounting to resolve billing issues.
- Maintain and update billing information sheets to ensure records are current and accurate.
- Respond promptly and accurately to client and matter‑related billing inquiries.
- Prepare client-specific billing reports, as requested.
- Review and follow up on overdue client accounts when necessary.
- Respond in a timely manner to all internal and external requests.
- Participate in ad hoc and special projects, as required.
What will help you succeed in this role?
- Minimum of 1 year of office work experience with a preference for billing experience
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is highly desired
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Client service-oriented and a team player.
- Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new responsibilities as needed.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
What we offer
The salary range for this position is up to $60,000 per annum, dependent on years/relevance of individual experience.
