The Senior Vice President of Operations serves as a pivotal leader of leaders, responsible for guiding the organization to achieve its strategic objectives, drive growth, and maintain operational excellence. This role demands a strategic thinker with robust business acumen, profound industry knowledge, and a proven track record of success in the insurance sector.

What you’ll be doing:
Set and articulate the strategic vision for operations, ensuring all initiatives and processes directly support the organization’s overarching business objectives.
Sponsor IT prioritization for system enhancements while establishing key objectives for operational data and analytics.
Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team of senior leaders, cultivating a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
Drive collaboration with national and regional departments to optimize operational processes, improve efficiency, and advance innovative risk management strategies across the enterprise.
Ensure all operations systems comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Responsible for monitoring and articulating operational activities to Executive Leadership utilizing dashboards, reports, data analysis, and best practices in data assimilation to asses the operational health of organization.
Champion the implementation of industry best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to elevate service quality and operational performance at all organizational levels.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10 plus years of experience within the crop insurance sector.
Demonstrated ability to define and communicate a strategic vision for operations, ensuring that all initiatives and processes are aligned with the organization’s overall business goals.
Experience sponsoring IT prioritization for system improvements, and setting clear objectives for operational data and analytics.
Proven leadership in developing and motivating senior teams, fostering a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and collaboration across functions.
Ability to drive collaboration among national and regional departments to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and implement innovative risk management strategies throughout the organization.
Comprehensive understanding of industry regulations and company policies, ensuring all operational systems remain compliant.
Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
