Position Summary
We are seeking a Renewal Underwriter to support a fast-paced Binding Authority Casualty business. In this role, you will manage a high-volume portfolio of renewal business across multiple casualty books, partnering closely with underwriters and brokers to evaluate risk, maintain profitable accounts, and deliver strong service outcomes.
This is a highly collaborative team with a supportive, “family-oriented” culture, where you will gain hands-on training and consistent interaction with leadership and peers.
Location: The ideal candidate will be located in Florida or Georgia to be available to partake in occasional in-office collaboration as needed. (based on proximity and experience)
What will your job entail?
Manage a portfolio of renewal accounts across casualty binding authority business
Review submission materials and analyze account-level data to support underwriting decisions
Assess risk quality, profitability, and coverage structure for complex accounts
Coordinate the quoting, binding, and issuance process for renewals
Apply appropriate rates, forms, and underwriting guidelines
Issue policy transactions including cancellations, non-renewals, and reinstatements
Maintain accurate and compliant underwriting files and documentation
Partner with underwriters, brokers, and producers to drive profitable outcomes
Build and maintain strong relationships with agency partners and internal stakeholders
Contribute to reporting, portfolio analysis, and special underwriting projects as needed
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in underwriting, underwriting support, or a related insurance role
Licensed in Property & Casualty or willingness to obtain license within 45 days
Experience working with casualty lines or commercial insurance products
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and profitability
Ability to manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field
Experience in binding authority within the wholesale/E&S markets
Additional Insurance designations (e.g., AIS, CPCU or similar)

The target salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
