Position Summary:
The Senior Actuarial Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the actuarial team by performing advanced actuarial analyses, developing sophisticated models, and leading key projects. This position requires a deep understanding of actuarial principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic insights.

What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and enhancement of complex actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting, ensuring they incorporate the latest methodologies and assumptions.
• Conduct comprehensive actuarial analyses to support pricing strategies, including the evaluation of rate adequacy and the development of rate indications.
• Oversee the preparation and review of actuarial reports, financial statements, and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with senior actuaries to analyze and interpret large and complex data sets, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions and strategic planning.
• Perform rigorous reviews and validations of actuarial models and assumptions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary adjustments.
• Drive the development and implementation of new actuarial methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of actuarial work.
• Communicate complex actuarial concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders, preparing clear and concise presentations and reports.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional projects, working with teams such as finance, underwriting, and IT to support business objectives and initiatives.
Work Experience and Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field with a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Licenses & Certifications:
· Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), Certification in Risk Management and Assurance (CRMA) or Member of American Academy of Actuaries (AAA) is preferred.
