This is a tremendous opportunity to join MercerWell, a dynamic and growing specialty practice within Mercer’s Health & Benefits business. In this role, you will be part of a team of consultants supporting health and well-being initiatives for large, complex employer clients, often organizations with 5,000+ employees.
The Associate will support senior consultants in managing client engagements focused on population health, health benefits, and well-being strategy. This position is designed for a strong generalist who can contribute across a broad range of MercerWell services, including market scans, solution development and implementation, vendor coordination, project delivery, and data-informed evaluation of program effectiveness.
We will count on you to:
Support the execution of client engagements related to population health, health benefits, and well-being strategy.
Contribute to the development of client deliverables, including presentations, reports, executive summaries, benchmarking analyses, and marketplace overviews.
Assist in identifying client needs and recommending practical, innovative solutions aligned to employer population health and health benefit priorities.
Coordinate project activities across internal Mercer teams, clients, carriers, and vendor partners to help ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Help manage day-to-day project plans, milestones, follow-ups, and workstreams across multiple concurrent client engagements.
Analyze and interpret information from vendors, carriers, client materials, and other sources to support strategic recommendations and implementation planning.
Support procurement, implementation, and ongoing management of health and well-being solutions.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with carrier and vendor contacts to support administration, implementation, and service needs.
Ensure work is completed in alignment with professional standards, including appropriate use of templates, peer review, documentation, and quality control practices.
Monitor marketplace activity, emerging trends, and best practices in population health, health benefits, and workforce well-being, and translate insights into client-ready materials.
Draw upon Mercer’s multidisciplinary resources and internal expertise to support integrated client solutions.
Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What you need to have:
BA/BS, or advanced degree in psychology, social work, public health, or related field preferred
Experience supporting or delivering solutions related to population health management, health benefits, well-being, or employer health strategy.
Foundational understanding of health and welfare benefits, population health concepts, and employer-sponsored well-being strategies.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize information and identify actionable insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create clear, polished client-facing materials.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $68,500 to $137,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
