The Senior Compliance Coordinator is responsible for advanced level administrative and accounting functions within the legal/compliance department.
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Compliance Coordinator is responsible for advanced-level administrative and accounting functions within the Compliance department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Performs all duties of a Coordinator with full proficiency.
• Serves as a leader and point of guidance for Coordinators.
• Manage advanced insurance compliance and related administrative activities.
• Reconcile, review, allocate, and process complex invoices from third-party vendors, Workers’ Compensation Bureaus and Departments of Insurance (DOIs).
• Builds and maintains effective relationships with DOIs, Workers’ Compensation Bureaus, Program Managers, and company vendors.
• Leverages established internal and external relationships to resolve business challenges through effective communication.
• Understands transactional processes and identify issues or circumstances requiring further research or escalation.
• Supports Analysts’ work but not expected to independently perform Analyst duties without significant preparation (e.g., extended planned leave coverage).
• Conducts first-level research (e.g., using online resources) to gather potential answers for Analyst review, without responsibility for nuanced interpretation or final decisions.
• Assign tasks to Coordinators, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion.
• Prepares and delivers standard management reports (e.g., activity reports).
• Maintains thorough knowledge of products and markets served by SNC’s Program Managers.
• Proofreads documents to ensure appropriate tone and clarity.
• Participate in Hunt Group phone duties to assist policyholders and external customers.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

• Provides advanced administrative support to management as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without direct supervision.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Advanced knowledge of Everest database.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong research skills.
• Willingness and ability to persist on complex projects.
• Knowledge of Property and Casualty lines of business and types of products written under those lines of business is required.
• Intermediate knowledge of account reconciliation and accounts receivable processes required.
• Familiarity with cost allocation methodologies required.
Education/Experience
• Degree strongly preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a professional office environment.
• 3 to 5 years of cost-allocation experience required.
• 3 to 5 years of insurance company or agency experience required.
WORK CONDITIONS
Standard office environment
• May be required to sit for extended periods of time.
• Overnight travel may be necessary on occasion.
Machinery and Equipment to be operated
• Standard office equipment: computers, printers, phones, fax machine, and copier.
