Agency Development Specialist, Phoenix Arizona | Whitehouse Station, New Jersey
The
Agency Development Specialist will support prospective agents through the onboarding process within an assigned regional territory—building strong relationships, ensuring a seamless experience, and identifying opportunities to grow Chubb’s producer network in alignment with our appetite and strategic objectives. The Producer Development team guides prospective agents through their journey with Chubb, from initial prospecting and vetting through appetite overviews, onboarding, and continued agency growth. Producer Development is part of Chubb Insurance Solutions Agency (CISA), Chubb’s owned agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the new agent journey within a defined regional territory, including prospecting, vetting, appetite overview, starting the onboarding process, and assisting with agency management to drive distribution growth.
- Apply knowledge of Chubb's target market appetite across commercial, personal, and accident & health/travel lines to evaluate prospective agents and recommend the appropriate appointment type, marketing resources, and underwriting support.
- Develop a strong command of Chubb's underwriting appetite and product portfolio across all business segments; effectively communicate key benefits and differentiators to newly appointed and developing agents.
- Conduct agency health checks at defined intervals following first year onboarding to evaluate the quality of the onboarding experience, especially tier classifications throughout CISA.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators for newly appointed agents and brokers; present findings and make actionable recommendations to leadership regarding agency performance and retention.
- Collaborate across internal teams — including Producer Services, Production, Sales & Marketing, and Agency Education — to deliver a coordinated, high-quality experience for newly appointed agents and brokers.
- Leverage internal AI tools and platforms to enhance communication effectiveness, streamline workflows, and improve responsiveness.
- Perform daily administrative tasks to support the coordination and functionality of Producer Development activities, including maintaining documentation in applicable new agent onboarding applications.
- Communicate directly with internal partners and external agents to build credibility, strengthen relationships, and resolve issues promptly.
Qualifications
Experience & Education
The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, highly organized, and brings a working knowledge of the insurance industry — with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while consistently delivering strong producer experience.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in the insurance industry, including client-facing roles, producer management, or advisory positions.
- Working knowledge of insurance products, distribution management, and agency operations across commercial, personal, or accident & health/travel lines.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively across competing deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Openness to adopting internal AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance communication and workflow efficiency.
- Ability to work independently in areas without defined workflows, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
The pay range for the role is $75,000-$85,00. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
