The Role
Supports the Global & Corporate Risks team within Multinational Client Practise to deliver an excellent and comprehensive service in the administration of new business, renewal and mid-term changes so that customers’ needs are best satisfied through suitable cover and pricing.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with colleagues and an international broking network to provide excellent service to clients.
What you’ll do
- Work with initiative to organise own work activities and ensure that personal and Team objectives are achieved
- Meet agreed targets
- Participate in team meetings as required
- Manage assigned projects and contribute to other projects as required
- Prepare renewal and new business data capture documents and market presentations and ensure that information presented is sufficiently comprehensive/accurate to support the quoting process
- Collate and communicate client requirements to ensure appropriate marketing of the risk
- Review policy documentation to ensure that cover meets client requirements and prepare registers/summaries of cover, evidence of cover letters etc
- Liaise with clients to ensure queries are resolved
- Respond to market and third party queries as appropriate
- Is aware of, and satisfies territory, tax and legislation requirements
- Produce high quality and compliant documentation ensuring appropriate authorisations are secured
- Plan the most appropriate solution for the client’s demands and needs
- Take responsibility for data entry, credit control and chase subjectivities where required
- Liaise with support technicians and Accounts teams as required
- Ensure up to date records are maintained at all times on the Company systems
- Negotiate with underwriters to place insurance that balances quality, coverage and price, sometimes alongside specialist broking teams
- Work within agreed parameters and use relevant systems to ensure documentation/communications adhere to company procedure/compliance requirements and provide an adequate audit trail
- Process data promptly and accurately on relevant systems in order to support and improve high levels of client service/internal process execution and to facilitate informed analysis
- Maintain appropriate client files, and oversee the prompt and accurate production of documentation to best meet client, company and regulatory requirements
- Ensure appropriate due diligence/sanctions checks are conducted in line with company procedures
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external contacts to ensure service delivery meets expectations and is compliant
- Deal with client enquiries, renewals and mid-term adjustments
- Remain aware of external, industry, legal and regulatory developments etc. to ensure practice and outputs are of a sufficiently high standard
Who we’re looking for – a candidate who
- Understands general and legal principles of insurance
- Understands the relevant regulatory and legal frameworks
- Has knowledge of the market including an awareness of competitors, cultural awareness
- Has relevant product(s) knowledge
- Has relevant experience in an account handling or technical role
- Can adopt team objectives and how own role contributes to these.
- Has specific systems knowledge relevant to role.
- Adopts a customer focused approach
- Operates in an honest, professional and ethical manner, adhering to the Group Employee Code of Conduct
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- A levels (desirable)
- Working towards or has attained DipCII (ACII desirable)
