Job Summary
The Senior Credit & Collateral Financial Analysis position is part of CNA’s Investments, Treasury, & Investor Relations (ITIR) Division. This role offers an opportunity to interact with various business areas throughout the organization as well as the Company’s existing and potential new customers. They will provide credit analysis to Underwriting and other areas of the organization in order to inform sound business decisions and reduce overall risk. Additionally, they will participate in the reporting and governance of collateral held throughout the organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in performing analytic reviews to evaluate the financial health and creditworthiness of existing and potential new customers. These reviews help CNA’s underwriters and actuaries determine the financial risk associated with a customer and provide guidance for determining potential collateral requirements.
Track credit exposures and collateral balances to provide Underwriting and Finance leaders with relevant reporting on key metrics of the portfolio.
Monitor Trust accounts used for collateral to ensure underlying investments are in compliance with CNA’s Collateral Policy
Identify and support optimal process and technology solutions to make the credit review and approval processes as efficient as possible.
Keep policy, procedure, and guideline documents updated for use by the Credit & Collateral team and others throughout the organization.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in finance, economics, accounting, or equivalent.
3-5 years of related experience
MBA, CPCU, or CFA designations a plus.

In certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia,California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $54,000 to $103,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
