The Role
This is a unique opportunity to join a newly created role in dynamic team in Canopius’ fast-paced and rapidly expanding international insurance business.
From day one you will be contributing to the development of Canopius’ strategic direction and delivery; interacting with a wide range of business stakeholders on a variety of different projects and topics.
The Strategy & Foresight Manager has a broad remit and will support the creation and execution of number of different key strategic projects for Canopius Group. They will partner with the business to deliver help build, implement, and embed Canopius’s Innovation Framework and activities, and support the overall Strategic Planning programme and project management of Canopius Group’s operational priorities.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Develop and execute a comprehensive innovation strategy aligned with Canopius' business objectives and market trends. Partnering across the organisation to ensure that innovation is something which is embedded in each of our Capabilities, Underwriting and Regional Business Units.
- Facilitate the execution of innovation ideas once they are raised i.e helping with the business case, ensuring they get the correct resources to be implemented successfully.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, actuarial, and technology, to bring projects and ideas to fruition.
- Establish and monitor metrics to evaluate the success of strategy and innovation projects and continuously refine strategies based on performance data.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of innovation and secure buy-in for new initiatives.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify new opportunities and anticipate future industry trends.
- Partner with the business to further the creation of next-generation insurance products, which cater for emerging risks and opportunities.
- Provide timely counsel and key updates on critical items requiring the Strategy Director’s attention.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver the Strategic Planning programme and project management of Canopius Group’s operational priorities.
Skills And Experience
- Educated to degree level
- Experience working within the Insurance Industry or Consulting with Insurance Clients
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 with a focus on Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Curious and passionate about innovation and technological advancements; with a strong understanding of emerging trends and technologies and their applications in the insurance sector.
- Strong collaborator, able to develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across diverse geographies and cultures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, presentation and influencing skills. Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Self-starter with ability to take initiative and that thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, comfortable with simultaneously managing multiple projects.
