Context for the Role: Ardonagh Specialty oversight of all activities within either the client or insurer IBA Departments ensuring adherence with Ardonagh policies and procedures whilst ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Purpose of the Role: Provide day to day management of either the client or underwriting IBA teams both in-house and provided by any outsource partner. Responsible for ensuring compliance with procedures, query resolution, achievement of the key performance indicators and ensuring a good service is provided to the business, clients and insurers. Also responsible for ensuring the performance of all team members including but not limited to staff performance, guidance and training, direction setting and oversight.
Key Role Accountabilities
- Responsible for all IBA activities within either the client or insurer departments including matrix management of the offshore BPO team.
- Management of either the client or insurer IBA teams including but not limited to work allocation, performance and day to day managerial activities.
- Oversight and delivery of the key performance indicators.
- Work with the business unit to ensure the prompt resolution of queries.
- Recommend process improvements and work with the team and Head of IBA Operations to deliver these improvements.
- Work closely with the Head of IBA Operations, the business, BPO and other team members to ensure KPI reductions are achieved.
- Produce relevant reporting to the Business Units, Finance and Senior Management.
- Assist with the production of the annual and monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Produce trend analysis identifying business areas and individuals where performance is below and above expectations and work with the relevant businesses and individuals to create remediation plans whilst escalating these issues to Senior Management.
- Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders e.g. Finance execs, Business Unit execs, central support leaders, clients and underwriters.
- Effectively support and embed on-going operational and business change into the team’s processes, organisational structure and ways of working.
- Work with the Senior Management on related projects including but not limited to transformations, transitions, acquisition due diligence and integration, MI improvements and system enhancements.
- Work with the Ardonagh Specialty Client Money and BE Manager to ensure compliance with the FCA CASS 5 Client Money Rules.
- Support and co-ordinate input to external Audit and regulatory exercises as required.
- Provide guidance to the BPO Leadership team implementing corrective action where required.
- Ensure adherence to, and support, all company compliance, policy, risk management and audit requirements.
- Ensure successful completion of training and assessment exercises as assigned from the Compliance and Training Departments.

Qualifications & Experience
Significant Insurance Broking Accounts and Client Money experience including a good understanding of industry practices and regulations. Good relationships with the Business Units and other senior personnel. Very strong knowledge of Bureau systems.
