The Network Support Engineer role is responsible for implementation and configuration of networking systems for all facets of the banking business. This includes but is not limited to switches, routers, load balancers, VoIP systems and distributed networks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
Provide on-site support for Audio Video, Telephony, and Networking at Burlington office of Tapco.
Proactively work with the business and Coordinate with UC & Network teammates to prevent or quickly resolve issues at Tapco.
Interact with Comcast Business as needed and maintain network equipment configuration in Terraform and in Meraki dashboard.
Install network hardware, cabling, and wireless access points at branch offices during office moves and openings; remove and return to inventory equipment from office closures and consolidations.
Provide Tier 1 support for networking solutions such as Meraki, BlueCat, and Aruba ClearPass.
• Take direction from senior engineer technical leaders to perform installation and configuration of installed networking systems.• Work with other IT teams to support the changes to configure and enable the necessary solutions including security, logging, monitoring.• Attend and participate in network design sessions with networking guild peers to create architectural, design and test plans.• Ability to create subcomponent design and work independently towards design implementation.• Provide architectural design patterns for peer review and education.• Lead engineering team design of integration and production tests to ensure high quality implementations.• Perform pre integration tests and execute pre integration test plans.• Communicate project status, dependencies, and requirements to management.• Stay current on changes in the networking technology space including L1 transports, software defined networking, configuration and deployment technologies including virtual machines and containers.• Provide debug and problem resolution support as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training.
• Three to five years of experience.• BSCS, BSEE, BSCE
• Should have experience with some or all of the above listed technologies: Meraki, BlueCat, and Aruba ClearPass
• Analytical skills, problem solving, ability to communicate complex ideas and present to peers.
• Familiarity with concepts and management interfaces of a software defined network technology such as ACI, NSX or cloud networking.
• Familiarity with networking concepts such as routing, security, OSI model and protocols definitions.• Proven track record of technical designs and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A general understanding of Software Defined Networking.• Working knowledge with Devops technologies and a proven track.• Working knowledge of collaboration tools such as slack, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, Visio.• Working knowledge of Microsoft office productivity suite.• Ability to self-manage time.
