The Role
As a member of the Delegated Authority Management team within Canopius UK Operations, the Delegated Claims Administration Analyst will support the assurance process for Canopius' delegated claims authority partners by delivering excellent administrative services to Analysts and Senior Analysts. This includes supporting processes such as: onboarding and ongoing oversight of Coverholders with claims authority and Delegated Claims Adjusters (DCAs), as well as assisting with the inception and renewals of their delegated authority contracts and Master Agreements. The role also involves supporting daily team tasks to ensure effective oversight of all delegated claims operations, in line with Canopius Delegated Claims policies and internal guidelines.
The main goal of the Delegated Authority Management function is to provide governance, frameworks, and controls for the Delegated Authority Portfolio to reduce risks and support the company’s growth plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative services to the Analysts in the Assurance team, conducting assurance reviews of delegated claims partners and approving claims arrangements under lead Binding Authority Agreements at inception and renewal.
- Collaborate with other Delegated Authority Management teams, including Conduct, Compliance, Cyber, Operational Resilience, and Data Protection teams, to ensure seamless information flow and effective oversight.
- Utilise Lloyd’s registration and compliance systems, such as Lloyd’s Insights, Atlas, Crystal, Lloyd’s Contract Confidence tool, and DCOM.
- Produce, deliver, and record DCA claims endorsements.
- Track all DCA renewals and appointments.
- Monitor incoming emails in the team general inbox and ensure data entry completeness and accuracy.
Skills And Experience
- An understanding of delegated claims authority practices, preferably within the Lloyd’s market.
- Good attention to detail.
- Analytical and IT skills in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn new concepts quickly and take initiative with personal development.
