The Position
Arch is seeking a proactive Internal Audit (IA) Manager to lead IA/Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) strategic initiatives, develop policies and procedures, and oversee SOX Program efforts. This person will manage a team that handles ad hoc audit projects. This role involves building relationships with senior leaders in IA, business, technology, and risk management.
This role can sitremote on the East Coast, but must be a reasonable driving distance to one of our NY (Garden City or White Plains), NJ (Jersey City or Morristown), or NC (Greensboro or Raleigh) offices.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a change agent within the IA team through the identification and implementation of strategic initiatives focused on elevating IA’s efficiency, effectiveness and value delivered
Continually stay informed of IA/SOX requirements and leading practices
Develop policies & procedures, methodology, standard templates to guide the activities of the IA team
Coordinate activities associated with the successful and timely delivery of strategic initiatives
Oversee the SOX Program including performing scoping, serving as a subject matter expert for IA team, monitoring SOX Program status and milestone achievement, and coordination with external auditors
Strategic thinker with experience in challenging the status-quo
Effectively manage team/resources (e.g., IA team members, external vendors)
Travel may be required up to 10%
Required Skills and Experiences
5+ years of audit, advisory, or risk management experience in a public accounting firm and/or corporate organization
Excellent understanding of internal audit and SOX planning, testing, and reporting requirements, with a strong grasp of risk and control concepts
Experienced with preparing high-quality, accurate deliverables (e.g., Audit Committee materials, training materials, policies & procedures), with minimal supervision
Ability to motivate, influence and collaborate effectively with others with confidence and strong communication skills
Willingness and ability to adapt to new circumstances, information, and challenges
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired Skills and Experiences
Previous insurance industry (e.g., Insurance, Reinsurance, Mortgage Insurance) internal audit and/or SOX experience, ideally within a global insurance firm or accounting firm
Data analytics, automation, artificial intelligence skills and experience
Experienced at providing training to large audiences
Experience working with Alteryx and Power BI/Tableau
Education
Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
Obtained or in the pursuit of a recognized professional qualification (e.g., CPA/ACCA/CA, CIA) is desired but not required
Additional Education & Certifications a plus (e.g., MBA) but not required

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
For Greater NYC: $107,900-$145,700/year
Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
