The Role
The Senior Project Manager reports to the Head of Business Applications Change and Support. Applications change is responsible for delivering the benefits of new and changed business systems to the Charles Taylor group. The Senior PM is responsible for the oversight and successful delivery of programmes using technology to benefit CT's mission. The programmes cover the full lifecycle from definition, delivery and closure. This includes shaping the approach to achieve the desired outcomes through to delivery, managing internal teams and vendors, and managing expectations with Charles Taylor business units from user through to "C suite".
Key Responsibilities
Programme Management
- Defining blueprints and agreeing vision with executive stakeholders and operational directors
- Shaping candidate projects and defining them for measurable benefits
- Setting and managing stakeholder expectations and commitment
Project Management
- Coordinating projects and resource management within the programme
- Stakeholder and sponsor management and communication
- Planning and reporting
- Risk identification management and issue resolution
- Project financial management, forecasting and tracking of actuals and burn rate
- Good project governance and scope, quality and time change management
- Matrix management of key resources
- Carry out Ad Hoc duties and tasks that are allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your post.

Required Skills
- Planning - Ability to develop comprehensive project plans, including defining objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements aligned with business goals. Skilled in balancing scope, time, and resources to ensure successful project execution.
- Team Management - Experience in leading cross-functional teams, assigning responsibilities, and fostering collaboration to drive project success. Run Daily stand ups and track and report progress. Ability to motivate team members, resolve conflicts, and maintain a high-performing work environment.
- Project Financial Management - Strong financial acumen with the ability to estimate costs, manage budgets, and monitor project expenditures. Capable of ensuring financial control and applying corrective actions to stay within budgetary constraints.
- Risk & Issue Identification and Management - Expertise in proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to reduce project disruptions. Skilled in managing issues effectively and ensuring timely resolution to maintain project continuity and quality.
- Expectation Management - Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to set, align, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Adept at maintaining transparent communication to ensure clarity on timelines, deliverables, and outcomes.
