The Financial Accounting Manager supports the Production and Control Senior Lead to ensure that all production activities are performed to provide a foundations for finance data and reporting to be driven from.
What You'll Be Doing
- Ensuring that all technical finance journals are validated, posted promptly and controls checked.
- Accountability for Solvency II balance sheet oversight.
- Support the Production and Control Senior Lead, to manage Service level agreements
- Challenge the month-end financial accounting process and Identify opportunities for improvement.
- Review legal entity and consolidated financial statements. Analyse significant movements in the balance sheet and provide appropriate monthly reporting.
- Review substantiation evidence to auditing concepts, including completeness, existence and accuracy.
- Collaborate with appropriate Finance colleagues on any Group-wide / Finance projects and new products. Provide technical accounting and financial process expertise to project requirements' specifications. Support user acceptance testing and implementation of new financial accounting outputs.
- Support the audit (Finance Risk team, internal and external audit) of the Group's legal entities, control environment and financial records.
Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office
What You'll Need
- Qualified accountant qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a minimum of five years post-qualified experience.
- Knowledge of IFRS17.
- knowledge of applying IAS 38 Intangible Assets, IAS 16 Property, Plant and Equipment and IAS 36 Impairment of Assets.
- Experience in substantiation and reconciliation, including applying auditing concepts
