How does this role contribute to our collective success?
As the Product Governance Manager, you will be responsible for approving, monitoring and reviewing insurance products to ensure they meet regulatory expectations and deliver fair value to customers. You will oversee the product governance framework, manage product reviews, and act as a key liaison between senior stakeholders, and internal teams. This role is critical in embedding Consumer Duty principles and maintaining robust oversight across the product lifecycle.
What will you do in this role?
- Managing the annual review schedule for AXIS products, ensuring timely completion and reporting of outcomes.
- Providing input into product development, lifecycle management, and governance metrics.
- Ensuring adherence to the Product Governance Framework, FCA & CBI POG, and Consumer Duty requirements.
- Tracking review outcomes, maintain governance documentation, and produce written reports and MI.
- Working closely with Underwriting, DUA Op’s, Claims and Compliance teams to support governance and regulatory needs.
- Monitoring product metrics, respond to queries, and drive improvements in governance processes.
- Maintaining conduct and compliance policies, deliver training, and promote awareness of governance requirements.
- Staying informed of regulatory changes and represent the function in internal and external forums.
- Identifying product-related risks, embed controls,
- Overseeing value assessments, target market analysis, and ensure robust MI supports customer outcome monitoring.

What you need to have:
- Significant experience in insurance product governance, compliance, or conduct risk.
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations, especially Consumer Duty and POG.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Experience managing governance frameworks and regulatory reporting.
- Ability to build trust by operating with integrity and professionalism
- Ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities
What we prefer you to have:

- Knowledge of the London/Lloyd’s market
- Proficient in using Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
