Job Description
The Manager of Remote Agency Managers is responsible for achieving financial and sales best practices goals for the Remote Agency Manager (RAM) team. This role will develop operating plans outlining how the RAMs will meet their goals and successfully implement division initiatives. This individual will draw on their experience as a successful field sales leader to manage a team of 10-14 direct reports and provide regular coaching and guidance focused on sales skill and career development. In addition, they will oversee the recruiting, hiring, training and development of our Sales and Distribution Chubb Associates.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement a RAM team strategy aligned with PRS Division initiatives designed to ensure achievement of all key financial and sales best practices goals.
- Collaborate with region and branch stakeholders to balance RAM team involvement, influence and performance within field teams while leading them as a broader, role-based community.
- Effectively manage the performance and development of the RAM and Sales & Distribution Chubb Associate teams by:
- Leading the team to achieve strong performance and ensure alignment to business goals.
- Create a work environment that inspires high levels of performance, facilitates teamwork and capitalizes on everyone’s strengths and differences.
- Identify the strengths and developmental needs of each team member and create and execute plans to utilize and build on the strengths and develop skill gaps.
- Promote the professional development of the staff by providing coaching, mentoring and educational opportunities.
- Coach on effective sales skills including Selling the Chubb Way and sales coaching.
- Develop and deliver a Sales and Distribution training and development program for recently hired Chubb Associates, including a defined, post specialty school sales training curriculum, hands-on sales role experience, and ongoing coaching and mentoring to prepare Chubb Associates for future sales team roles.
- Periodically evaluate RAM team agency assignments to ensure optimal staffing and alignment with branch teams.

- Track record of successfully leading, coaching and developing people.
- Experience in training sales personnel.
- Exceptional leadership and influence management skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to successfully collaborate, influence and leverage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Deep experiential knowledge of Chubb’s approach to producer and distribution management.
- Comprehensive understanding of Chubb underwriting principals and appetite, products, and services.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Experience in a managerial role with direct reports or ability to demonstrate strong influence leadership as an individual contributor.
- Multiple years of experience in a Sales & Distribution production role.
- Experience in ultra-high net worth market; demonstrated understanding of buying habits and trends.
- Strong experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and external agency partners.
