JOB DESCRIPTION
Delivers new and renewal reinsurance programmes, from treaty administration, premium and claims handling, to credit control.
Responsibilities
- Supports the reinsurance team in the provision of an excellent service to reinsurers and provision of accurate information submitted in line with contractual deadlines.
- Migrates and translates reinsurance data into the Canopius operating model and provision of internal reporting for accounting and valuation purposes.
- Leads in onboarding reinsurance contracts into the relevant Canopius operating model.
- Proposes and implements improvements and efficiencies in Canopius’ reinsurance processes.
- Supports the process to ensure that appropriate oversight processes are in place for the effective operation of reinsurance treaties.
- Manages the relationship with reinsurance counterparties, maintaining an excellent standard of service including ensuring that contractual deadlines are met.
- Monitors the administration of reinsurance treaties (both longevity and other forms) covering periodical reporting (quarterly or monthly), data verification, and other associated data /calculation work.
- Manages the purchasing and marketing of reinsurances (including liaising and negotiating with brokers and reinsurers).
- Supports with analyses to assess the effectiveness and value for money of reinsurance proposals.
- Supports the reinsurance team in the provision of an excellent service to reinsurers and provision of accurate information submitted in line with contractual deadlines.
