Role Description
In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of intuitive, user-centred digital experiences across all touchpoints. You’ll ensure solutions are insight-driven, commercially effective, and meet evolving customer needs better than our competitors. You will embed UX best practices, align business goals with user outcomes, and help us remain easy and rewarding to do business with in a fast-changing digital landscape.
This is a hybrid role that can be based in our Bournemouth, Birmingham, or London offices, with the expectation to be onsite 2 days a month.
This is a 12-month secondment.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £42,000 - 47,000 per annum. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
- Designing intuitive, user-centred digital experiences across web, mobile, tablet, email, and apps that reflect business goals and adhere to UX best practices.
- Following a robust UCO framework to deliver best-in-class experiences, including creating interactive concepts, user personas, goal-based scenarios, journeys, flows, site maps, and wireframes.
- Leading end-to-end UX activities within e-commerce projects, from scoping through to delivery, ensuring designs are informed by customer research, usability testing, and data analytics.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather feedback and align design solutions with both user needs and business objectives.
- Providing UX and digital design consultancy to drive continuous improvement, support new initiatives, and ensure the delivery of user value across the business.
- Supporting digital proposition development through customer research, focus groups, and usability testing, including coordination with third-party research and UX agencies.
- Applying industry best practices in usability, design, and functionality to meet evolving customer needs and stay ahead of digital trends and technologies.
- Demonstrating strong commercial awareness, customer focus, and a clear passion for user-driven design throughout all digital touchpoints.
- Working collaboratively with the wider UX team to ensure consistency, share best practices, and advocate for the customer across all design decisions.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in Figma and analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Content Square.
- Expertise in user-centred design, usability, accessibility, and information architecture.
- Strong foundation in UX methodologies and e-commerce development and delivery.
- Skilled in UX tools including Axure, Adobe, and Visio.
- Solid understanding of the digital landscape, including emerging technologies like AI.
- Excellent communicator, able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experienced in planning and conducting user testing.
